Flat washers evenly distribute pressure when a bolt or screw is tightened. Its thin, plate-shape increases surface area to prevent the loosening and pullout of a fastener. They also relieve surface friction and can be used as spacers when additional clearance between objects is necessary. Flat washers are available in both standard and bulk pack quantities.
